Hold Back the Flood With the NOAQ Boxwall
The NOAQ Boxwall is a modular, self-anchoring system that creates a freestanding flood barrier. These plastic barriers are reusable and easy to deploy at scale to protect infrastructure, property, and lives.
Each section snaps into place without tools and includes a seal on the underside that uses the weight of the water against it to secure the barrier to the ground. As the water rises, the seal tightens.
The panels weigh only 33 pounds per piece, which is 1% of the weight of an equivalent sandbag wall. They can also hold back floodwaters that are 40 inches deep. Emergency crews can build hundreds of feet of protection in a matter of hours, compared to the days of round-the-clock work required for a sandbag wall with similar stability.

Boxwall Flood Barriers vs. Sandbags
Sandbags
A tested and tried flood protection method for hundreds of years, sandbags can create an effective barrier with a low up-front cost.
However, you make up for them being cost-effective with how labor-intensive they can be compared to NOAQ Boxwall barriers of the same size. By contrast, one straight NOAQ Boxwall is equivalent to 144 sandbags.
Boxwall Flood Barriers
On top of being effective for floods as deep as 40 inches, the NOAQ Boxwall’s design is reusable, whereas many flood barrier designs are meant to only be used once before being discarded.
It can also be deployed over 100 times faster than traditional sandbags. Two people can deploy 100 meters of Boxwall barriers in just 60 minutes
This makes your Boxwall more cost-effective, especially if you’re located in flood-prone areas.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Yes, they do. Flood barriers can block, divert, or slow rising water to prevent property damage, especially during flash floods or periods where the floodwaters are cresting. While sandbags are labor-intensive to fill and prone to failure, modern flood walls are more effective, adaptable, and dependable.
