How it Works

Hold Back the Flood With the NOAQ Boxwall

The NOAQ Boxwall is a modular flood barrier that is reusable and easy to deploy at scale to protect infrastructure, property, and lives.

Each section connects without tools and includes a seal on the underside that uses the weight of the water against it to secure the barrier to the ground. As the water rises, the seal tightens.

The panels weigh only 33 pounds per piece, which is 1% of the weight of an equivalent sandbag wall. They can also hold back floodwaters that are 40 inches deep. Emergency crews can build hundreds of feet of protection in a matter of hours, compared to the days of round-the-clock work required for a sandbag wall with similar stability.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do flood barriers really work?

Yes, they do. Flood barriers can block, divert, or slow rising water to prevent property damage, especially during flash floods or periods where the floodwaters are cresting. While sandbags are labor-intensive to fill and prone to failure, modern flood walls are more effective, adaptable, and dependable.

Are these flood barriers reusable?

Yes! The NOAQ Boxwall is built for multiple deployments and easy storage, so you can use it and reuse it.

How much do flood barriers cost?

Pricing for the NOAQ Boxwall varies depending on the length of the wall and how many units you need. Please request a quote for exact pricing information.

Can you customize the material or designs?

Standard units are made from polypropylene, but Cascade can help explore configurations and accessories for specialized applications.

Do you work with government agencies or co-ops?

Absolutely. Cascade works closely with municipalities, federal agencies, and purchasing co-ops for streamlined procurement.

What’s the lead time for orders?

Yes. Cascade Engineering will review your site conditions, required barrier length, deployment needs, and timeline before providing a quote under the cooperative contract.
