GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Cascade Engineering today joined its development partners to break ground on a new 300,000-square-foot warehouse at 60th St. Industrial Park that will become the company’s consolidated logistics hub. Located at 5680 E. Paris Ave. SE, Kentwood, MI 49512, the leased facility represents a significant investment in strengthening Cascade Engineering’s logistics network, improving operational efficiency, and supporting long-term growth.

The new facility will serve as a centralized hub for warehousing activities, bringing inventory, shipping, receiving, and material management functions together under one roof. By consolidating operations currently distributed across multiple locations, Cascade Engineering expects to create a more connected operating environment that supports efficiency and collaboration. The facility will also provide Cascade Engineering with the opportunity to organize storage and material movement around current and future operational needs rather than continuing to work within existing space constraints.

“This investment represents an important step in positioning Cascade Engineering for the future,” said Christina Keller, CEO and Chair. “By creating a centralized logistics operation, we are building a stronger foundation for serving our customers, supporting our employees, and maintaining the flexibility needed to grow in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”

For customers, the investment represents another step in Cascade Engineering’s ongoing efforts to strengthen service capabilities and remain competitive in a rapidly evolving business environment. Streamlined warehouse operations will help the company respond more effectively to changing customer requirements.

Construction of the facility is expected to reach substantial completion by May 1, 2027, allowing for the installation of racking systems and operational infrastructure. The company anticipates beginning occupancy and operational transition activities by July 1, 2027.

The project is being developed in partnership with Third Coast Development, serving as project developer, and Pioneer Construction, serving as general contractor. Cascade Engineering also recognizes the collaboration and support of the City of Kentwood, including Mayor Stephen Kepley, city staff, and members of the city commission who have helped advance the project through the planning and development process.

“This facility gives us the opportunity to simplify our logistics network, improve the flow of materials across our operations, and create a more efficient and scalable platform for growth.,” said Cascade Engineering President, Eric Van Namen. “Ultimately, that strengthens our ability to execute for our customers and compete for new opportunities.”
