| Cascade Engineering Establishes Annual Scholarship With Ferris State University GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, February 11, 2004 – Cascade Engineering, a Grand Rapids, Mich.-based leader in engineered plastics systems and components, today announced the establishment of an annual scholarship for engineering students at Ferris State University. A maximum of three $1,500 annual scholarships, awarded to students enrolled full time in the University’s Plastics Engineering Technology bachelor degree program, will be given to students each May for the fall semester. The scholarship is renewable each semester thereafter as long as the recipient continues to meet selected criteria. “We’re proud to partner with Ferris State in providing students the resources needed to pursue their passion,” said Cascade Engineering president Mike Valz. “Investing in the education of tomorrow’s engineers is vital to the growth and success of not only Cascade Engineering and Ferris State, but to the entire West Michigan community.” A committee from Cascade Engineering and the Chair of the Plastics and Rubber Program at Ferris State will recommend and then select the recipients each spring.
