| Cascade Engineering CEO Receives 2004 Faith in Humanity Award GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, February 12, 2004 – Cascade Engineering founder and chief executive officer Fred Keller today received the 2004 Faith in Humanity Award from The Hugh Michael Beahan Foundation for his life-long dedication to the residents and community of West Michigan. The award, presented annually to a community leader who exemplifies the late Monsignor Hugh Michael Beahan’s ideals of racial harmony, mutual respect, ecumenism, and community activism, was given at St. Andrew’s School in downtown Grand Rapids. The nominating committee said it conducted extensive research and selected Keller based on his dedication to the community and the difference his efforts have made in people’s lives. They also noted that Keller has effectively integrated his social-justice convictions into Cascade Engineering and the community, applying the quality principles used in business to improve both. “We’re pleased to present Fred Keller with this award,” said Joe Schmieder, of Custer Office Environments, “The traits that exemplify this award are the traits he has always believed and implemented when running not just a successful business, but one that makes a positive impact on the community and the environment.
