| Cascade Engineering CFO Steve Peterson Named Financial Executive of The Year GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, April 18, 2002 – Cascade Engineering is pleased to announce that AOC, a global staffing service specializing in the temporary and direct-hire placement of accounting and financial personnel, has chosen Steve Peterson, chief financial officer of Cascade Engineering, as Financial Executive of the Year. “Steve nearly single-handedly does all treasury functions, including financing and risk management for all the company’s ventures,” said Chairman and CEO Fred Keller in nominating Peterson for the award. “During Steve’s tenure, the company has nearly tripled in size and has continuously improved its balance sheet as well.” Peterson currently serves on the board of directors of Gill Industries, Financial Executives International, and on three alumni boards for Grand Valley State University. He also previously served as a board member and past president of the local chapters of the Institute of Management Accountants and Financial Executives International, and served as chairman for the Accounting Advisory Board for Kent Skills Center.
