East Hills Neighborhood Association and Cascade Engineering are Event Sponsors

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan –The East Hills Neighborhood Association and Cascade Engineering are sponsoring Fiesta Latina on Saturday, May 19, between 1 and 5 p.m. at Congress Elementary School.

Fiesta Latina has been organized to introduce the neighborhood’s many Spanish speaking neighbors to Congress Elementary School. The Congress Improvement Team, composed of several citywide non-profits and Cascade Engineering, is working to establish Spanish language programs for children and adults at the school.

There will be music, food and games for children (including several piñatas). Many sixth-grade Congress students will be involved as volunteers. Bilingual persons will staff information tables for many of the non-profits involved. Congress School is located at 940 Baldwin SE in the Cherry/Diamond/Lake Drive area.
