Cascade Engineering Opens Tooling Facility In Hungary

New Operation Represents Significant Expansion Of Cascade Engineering Europe

Grand Rapids, MICHIGAN - Cascade Engineering has opened a new tooling facility in Halasztelek, Hungary, to support Cascade Engineering Europe, which is headquartered in the same city.

The 10,000-square-foot tooling facility, which will employ 16 people, will utilize state-of-the-art equipment to create tooling designs at CAD/CAM workstations, with the ability to accept electronic data from customers, and to employ the latest software to create full 3-D design, solids and wire-frame modeling, plus cutter-path generation.

Cascade Engineering Europe, established just outside Budapest in 1992, manufactures air ducts, instrument panel components, door trim components, precision electrical components and mechanical components for the automotive and electronics industries. Products are exported to Germany, Japan and the United States.

“Cascade Engineering Europe continues to be a very strong performer within the Cascade Engineering Family of Companies,” said Mike Valz, president and chief operating officer of Cascade Engineering. “We are very pleased to make this investment in its growing capabilities, and in our future as an outstanding global enterprise.”
