Cascade Engineering Announces Home and Health Business Unit

Grand Rapids-Based Operation Part Of Strategic Move Toward OEM Capabilities

Grand Rapids, MICHIGAN – Cascade Engineering has announced the formation of its Home and Health Business Unit, which will focus initially on injection-molded components for air and water treatment systems.

"This new business unit will produce parts and systems for OEMs and eventually directly for consumers," said Fred P. Keller, CEO of Cascade Engineering. "This is part of our long-term strategic effort to manufacture and market value-added products directly to consumers, and while we will focus initially on injection-molded components for certain industries, we look forward to continuing toward our strategic vision in which we function as a consumer-responsive OEM."

The Home and Health Business Unit is being led by Chris Lipka, who joined Cascade Engineering in 1987 and has served the company in the areas of finance, materials management, purchasing and inventory control.

"We feel there is a niche that we can fill for highly cosmetic precision parts," Lipka said. "In the long-term, these technologies could also have applications for the medical industry, automotive and other health areas."

The Home and Health Business Unit of Cascade Engineering is located at 5055 Thirty-Sixth Street SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
