Grand Rapids, MICHIGAN – Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman has invited Ronald Jimmerson, Director of Workforce Diversity of Cascade Engineering, to speak on Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at the National Skills Summit in Washington, D.C.

Jimmerson will participate in several group sessions.

The daylong summit will include eight sessions, including an afternoon keynote address by Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan. The summit serves as a forum to exchange solutions, forge partnerships and develop innovative, practical and cost-effective ideas for satisfying employers’ immediate need for skilled workers. Participants are high-level executives from large and small businesses, leaders of organized labor, community-based organizations and academics.

In March 1999, Cascade Engineering was presented with the Ron Brown Award for Corporate Leadership in a White House ceremony. Cascade Engineering CEO Fred Keller has since been named to the Ron Brown Award Board of Directors.
