Cascade Engineering Teams With Israeli Firm To Produce Bins For Agriculture, Industry

Joint Venture Between Dolav and Cascade Engineering To Be Known As Decade Products, LLC

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — Cascade Engineering has announced a new joint venture with the Israeli bin manufacturer Dolav to produce bins for agricultural and industrial use in North America. The new joint venture company will be known as Decade Products, LLC.

Decade Products, LLC. bins will be produced on Cascade’s Battenfeld injection molding press. This 9,000-press is the largest in North America, and is also used to produce waste containers for Waste Management and automotive panels for Daimler-Chrysler’s Composite Concept Vehicle.

“Clearly, Cascade Engineering is the right partner for us,” said Dolav spokesman Reuben Galili. “Its oustanding technology, excellent customer service and high-quality manufacturing practices are the right complement to Dolav’s capabilities.”

Decade Products, LLC. will be headquartered at Cascade’s Grand Rapids container facility, which also produces two-cubit-yard waste containers for the solid waste industry.

Plastic bins produced by Dolav and Cascade share several positive characteristics, including their unique high-impact strength, resistance to corrosion, durability, long life and light weight.

“The technology we use for these products holds many benefits for agriculture and other industries,” said Kathy Bolhous, general manager of Cascade’s container manufacturing facility. “The partnership with Dolav allows us to offer these benefits to a whole new set of customers in the United States.”

Decade Products, LLC. bins will range from 32" x 47" (81cm x 119cm) up to 63" x 41" (160cm x 104cm). The bins are available with solid or perforated walls and/or floor, as required by the customer, and come in a variety of colors.

Dolav Dvir-Lahav Plastic Products was established in 1976 and started mass production in 1977. Dolav specializes in large structural foam injection moldings. The plant uses advanced technologies and sophisticated equipment to manufacture heavy-duty, multipurpose box-pallets for use in agriculture, fisheries, industry, food, recycling and other special uses.
