| Cascade Engineering was founded in 1973 with
the belief that a business could be profitable and socially and
environmentally responsible. Over the years, this philosophy of
business has been transformed into a commitment to achieve a
sustainable enterprise with specific financial, social and
environmental goals. We realize that our actions today impact
the world of tomorrow, and - uniquely - as a private company, we
have a special opportunity to demonstrate this commitment in our
daily work. This commitment is reflected in our
Policy Statement and expresses itself in our inter-dependent
relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, the
community and the environment. A further expression of this
commitment is our
Triple Bottom Line Report, which
is
published in order to create a higher level of organizational
accountability and transparency; a balanced approach to
continuous improvement; and a new learning tool.
The report on our triple
bottom line evaluates the company's performance in three
areas:
- Economic
- Social
- Environmental
By measuring our triple bottom line performance, we
believe we can contribute to a more sustainable company and
community. We have learned from
other organizations that have actively pursued sustainable
business strategies, and we hope that in some small way, our
triple bottom line report will contribute to a better
understanding of sustainability. If you have any comments
about our report, please share them with our
Webmaster.
